After so much anticipation, the Maleficent by MAC launched in the UK on the 15 May. I had already set my little wish list and was determined to get my claws on a few items.
As soon as I received their email saying the collection was available, I went online and placed an order for the lipstick – which was the item I really wanted), the lip liner and some lashes.
It is said the red True Love’s Kiss lipstick sold out online in 45 minutes – gladly, my order had been long placed and after a few days (and some delivery kerfoffle), I received my envelope of pure makeup maleficence.
Now, the lisptick… True Love’s Kiss is a beautiful bright, clean red, with some sparkly particles. It comes under their “amplified” line, which means the colours are super vivid; the finish is creamy – not as much as satin or lustre, but not as dry as matte.
Application is smooth, the lippy is highly pigmented and staying power is alright. As usual, I lined my lips with the pro long wear liner in Kiss Me quick and of course applied Lipcote on, for extra durability.
I really like that MAC doesn’t charge postage for orders over £30, and they always send a sample – usually a tiny mascara with a decent brush, which is sooo handy on the go!
True Love’s Kiss indeed delivered “lips that shame the red, red rose”, plus I had the chance to photograph it with my beloved Maleficent plush doll! Love it!

Can’t help but complimenting your maleficent dolly he he it is adorable! 😀 I haven’t tried anything from this line but I have seen so many videos and posts on it, it looks nice to try and the inspiration for it is…lovely! 😀

I brought the lippy after reading the review and it’s truly amazing…I applied very little for the day and it looked amazing a little pinkish when applied lightly…got a few extra kisses that day 😀
