Since I first discovered primers, I cannot imagine my life without them – for face or eyes, a primer is an essential item in my makeup bag.
The L’Óreal Paris Color Riche Eye Primer Base comes as a handy chubby pencil. Not too soft in consistency, it glides well on the lid, delivering a light nude colour.
I use it by covering the whole lid, putting some under the brow bone and then smudging with my fingertips. It spreads well and “dries” pretty quickly. a small amount goes a long way.
In terms of maximising the eyeshadow pigmentation, I rate it as normal – the colour is more vivid with the primer than without, but not an outrageous amount.
As for aiding staying power, this primer does its job; after a day at work, colour was still in place.
Also, I believe this pencil makes an excellent highlighter, for the cheeks and nose. Honestly, it is a great shade to apply under the foundation to give these areas a matte lift of light.
The L’Óreal Paris Color Riche Eye Primer Base costs £5.99 and is available from retailers nationwide.

I just started to use eye primers, and I think the same : I can’t live without it any more. I use the Kiko one and is really amazing, but I will try to find this l’Oréal primer, it also looks very nice !

Hi Cherry
They are life changers, really 😀
I like that this one is sooooo practical as a pencil!
I also love the Urban Decay Eye primer potion, but never tried the Kiko one – might have to pick that one up soon!
Thanks for your visit and comment!
