Have to admit that when I got Steamcream, I didn’t really know what it was about. I was really after the fabulous pretty tins it comes in.

However, on receiving the product, I realised how much goodness there is in it: lavender, chamomile, almond, neroli and jojoba oils, cocoa butter, rose, orange flower water and oatmeal.  All natural, vegan and from sustainable sources that comply with the company’s animal testing policy.

The most interesting is that the ingredients are all blasted together by steam to create this rich, but fluid, emulsion.

This means it absorbs better; the natural ingredients leave the emulsion and sink all their goodness into the skin.

Physically, it also absorbs well; it is not greasy but the moisturising effects last. My preferred use is hands, forearms and elbows. I also like it on my knees and feet.

It is a multitasking cream, really, can be used on face, body and even hair. Many people with sensitive, problematic skin find it great as it is natural and gentle.

The smell leans towards lavender but is quite subtle.

The best bit? You can buy so many different beautiful tins… This nautical-themed, ladybird Bonjour one is too pretty. And you can use afterwards to store small items.

I am gutted I missed their pretty Distingue one – there are always fab limited edition designs for Fashion Week and collaborations, so keep your eyes peeled.
