My day to day makeup is usually very neutral (read gold tones eyes and red lippy) that will make it through the seasons without any problems. However, seasonal touches that make a real difference are always welcome.
Riding on the purple trend for AW14, Elizabeth Arden brings out the Beautiful Color Posh Purple eyeshadow palette quad, with four gorgeous and wearable colours.
To start with, the case: it’s beautiful. Sturdy in gold and white with a mirror and applicator (which I never use anyway, but it’s nice to see it there).
A frosted light pink is perfect for highlighting the brow bone and the inner corner of the eye; a dark, satin lavender is the perfect wake-me-up shade for the lid; a dark matte taupe, ideal for the shading crease and the deep satin purple, perfect for either smoking the crease, for a more dramatic look or as an eyeliner, to define the eye and finish the look.
All the colours are super versatile – I used them all individually in different occasions; the dark taupe is a perfect “naked” eye with black liner crease definer, the light pink, an all-round highlighter. The lavender is a fantastic colour to widen and revive tired eyes and especially complimentary to brown ones and the dark purple makes a fab eyeliner that can be used solo.
The eye shadows are very pigmented, blend very well and have a good staying power, with virtually no creasing.
I completed my look with the gorgeous Intriguing Violet lipgloss, which I will be reviewing soon.
The Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Posh Purples Eye Shadow Quad can be found at Elizabeth Arden counters nationwide.
Amazing colors, they look great on you skin tone, perfect for winter or any time really. I like purples and grays.

Aren’t they lovely? Really in love with this palette. I like greys too – and the combination with purples!
