I was quite curious to try collagen shots for quite sometime, I have to admit. it seemed like an easy way to deliver skincare – by drinking a 50ml shot a day – and was very happy to try Pure Gold Collagen.
During 13 days, I took a daily collagen shot (maybe a missed one or two!) and I could notice a slight improvement on my skin condition to look and touch, mainly in texture – it felt plumpier – and also brighter.
It is recommended that you take a 50ml shot a day for 2-3 weeks for improved hydration and plumpness, 8 weeks for best hydration results and 12 weeks for reduction in fine lines and wrinkles appearance.
The taste is alright, I was a bit worried about it, but it is neutral enough, with a slight peppery aftertaste. I turned out to enjoy the shots.
Collagen shots are up to 20 times more effective than topical collagen creams or pills. Gold Collagen is sugar free and contains hyaluronic acid, high quality hydrolised marine collagen, vitamins C, E, B6 and Biotin, zinc, copper, borage oil and N-acetylglucosamine.
All this, apart from being great for the skin, is good for nails and hair too!
The downside of this product, for me is the price: £35.99 for 10 bottles. Sadly, my budget does not stretch this far. If it did, I would not think twice about trying it for 12 weeks and beyond. I am tempted to save a bit and try in the future, after all, I could see some results from the short time I had it, and it makes me wonder how much improvement I’d see in 3 months.
Pure GOLD COLLAGEN is available from Boots and costs £35.99 for a box with 10 50ml bottles. At the moment, it is at a 3 for 2 offer – a great deal!!!
This sounds absolutely great! 🙂

It does feel great too – but the price is just to high to keep it going 😦 I wish I could!

You’re very welcome, Claire, I am glad the review is interesting to you. When I first heard about them I was very curious, but the price really put a stop to my curiosity. Luckily, I was offered the samples, and must admit, I would love to give it a proper go – like 3 months. Will probably organise myself and save to do the full length; the effect in 13 days were actually quite encouraging!
Thanks for you comment and visit – welcome to So Many Lovely Things!

Hi Helen
The results I saw were very subtle, just a general better aspect to the skin, but I was too pleasantly surprised!
