Product review: Sheer Cover Conceal & Brighten trio

Sheercover conceal and brighten trio

I had been curious about Sheer Cover products for a while, mainly due to their TV adverts, and was very excited to finally try one of them.

The Sheer Cover Conceal & Brighten trio comes in a handy compact with mirror, with two concealer shades and a brightener.

The Sheer Cover Studio line has a patented technology called Trueshade, which offers true colour match by working with the skin. It contains light reflecting minerals with optical filters that pick up our true skin tone, reflecting it for a better colour match. It also has “soft-focus” minerals which “float” on the skin, diffusing light and delivering that perfect finish.

The concealers are super soft and blend extremely well, I tried on the light/medium colour and found a mix of the two was a good march for an overall foundation use. It offers medium coverage, so I used as if it was my foundation and set with powder. Durability wise, slightly less than my foundation. It felt extremely light and natural on the skin.

I also used the shades separately as concealer on specific spots over my foundation and set with powder, the darker shade is my fave for blemishes and the lighter for around the eyes.

The recommended use for the highlighter is as an eye brightener to be used around tired eyes, to perk them up a bit! I used as a normal highlighter and  it gives a good glow to cheek and brow bones, but I feel it could catch the light better.

Still, it is a good all-rounder that is fit for all purposes, creating a very natural coverage.

The Conceal & Brighten trio is available for £22.95 from the Sheer Cover website. It can also be bought as part of a Sheer Cover Studio Introductory kit, which comes with Mineral Foundation, Conceal & Brighten Trio, Sun-kissed Bronzing Minerals, Lengthening Mascara and Lash Extending Fibers for only £29.99 (plus P&P). At the moment, they have a great promotion on, with three free brushes with the kit (worth £50). Hurry!
