A fabulous afternoon at the Magnum Regent street party

magnun 25th anniversary regent street

You probably noticed that there has Magnum has been causing a buzz this year – it is their 25th anniversary and they’ve been having a ball celebrating it.

On Sunday 27 July, they closed Regent Street in London, had an awesome dipping bar that gave away 25,000 freshly dipped Magnums, DJ’s, a giant Magnum and a lot of fun.

Henry Holland, who dipped some Magnums (and gave me one!) designed a lovely dress especially to celebrate the big 2-5 – a lovely 60’s shape shift dress, with his characteristic collar, to give it a modern look. When questioned on the challenges of designing with brown, Henry confessed that his first question when approached was “does it have to be brown?”.

Surely, he waltzed through the challenge and created a lovely hand-made sequin number with two layers (just like the ice cream): a cream sequin one layered with patterns of three shades of brown sequins in different sizes (smaller at the top, larger at the bottom) – truly amazing!

24 dresses were made and given away as part of the #crackthedresscode promotion, and this one was going to be drawn amongst the street party’s attendees.

At the Magnum VIP area, by the DJ booth, there was prosecco and Kiko makeovers, with Magnum inspired eyes.

And the weather turned out glorious! What an amazing way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Thank you so much Magnum for having me!
