Review: Dove Caring Protection body wash

Dove Caring Protection body wash

It is no news that Dove has a huge range of skin caring products and the new kid on the block, the Dove Caring Protection nourishing body wash is no different. Actually, it goes further!

Dove got us to the lovely Radio Rooftop Bar in London to talk skincare while sipping on specially mixed cocktails and taking in the stunning view. Their R&D girls were at hand to tell us about what technology makes this one a bit more special than the others.

Basically, the technology on this not only nourishes the skin, giving it essential oils and nutrients to maintain hydration; it is also less abrasive, meaning it cleans without stripping our skin’s natural protection barrier and also works hard to make sure the moisture and nutrition stay in.

It contains the Dove NutriumMoisture technology (a trademarked blend of skin-natural moisturisers) and sunflower oil.

You know the pink dolls they put on top of the soap bar on the TV advert that are meant to represent our skin? Well, they made an appearance, and upon rubbing, in comparison to another well known body wash, the integrity of the Dove doll was pretty much preserved. I actually felt sorry for the other one, with a hole in her tummy!

The smell is rather nice; it has that hint of Dove smell (you know, from the bar) with an underlying fragrance. The consistency is thick and creamy, it glides well on the body but doesn’t create a lather. Skin feels super clean and soft after use.

Apart from the Caring Protection, the Dove Body Wash is available in variety of fragrances and ingredients (I am a huge fan of the Coconut Milk and Jasmine Petals, Silk Glow, Purely Pampering Cream Oil Body Wash and many others!) and are available from major retailers around the country and are priced from £2.50.
