The kit consists of three steps: the brush-on brightening serum, the activator serum and the pure white tooth polish.
First, we brush our teeth gently with our usual toothpaste. Then, brush on the brightening serum (it is just like a nail polish brush!) onto the front and top of the teeth. Leave for 30 seconds and apply the activator serum the same way. After another 30 seconds, rinse with water and leave for 20 minutes, without eating or drinking, before you brush with the polish.
I have to say I struggled a little bit with the two lots of 30 seconds, as they say we should avoid touching the teeth with tongue or lips (and consequently removing the product), so I kept an open lip grin with my head tilted back. It sounds gross, but a lot of saliva puddles up inside the mouth, and as it is hard to swallow without touching the teeth, it was all a little bit of a struggle for me – glad it is only for 30 seconds!
Then after the 20 minutes, we brush our teeth (it comes with a toothbrush too) with the tooth polish for two minutes. I do it quite gently, as it can hurt the gums, especially if you have sensitive ones.
And voilá! All done, until the next day, that is, as you should do the treatment for 10 consecutive days.
I noticed some whitening on the first application, then again at the end. Using the scale they send you on the box, I believe the full treatment whitened my teeth in 2 shades for sure, maybe even 3, so not bad at all.
You can get the Pearl Drops Pure White Whitening Kit exclusively at Boots for £24.99.
