Being in Superdrug for me is like being in a candy shop: they have soooo many brands and cover so much in the beauty, skincare and health area that is impossible to walk away! Their event was no different, all parts of Superdrug were well represented and I love discovering all the launches.
I was very glad I found out about their vast range of in-store services, including flu jabs – I had one on the day and you can pop into a shop and have it for only £9.99. To find out more about the service, visit the Superdrug website.
Also, they have a great Online Doctor service, where you can read advice and order certain tests (STDs, pregnancy) and products/treatments online. Great! Their lines for winter health were also strong, with them bringing their version of Berocca, which tasted really nice and is great value for money.
Moving on to beauty, they had their usual brands I love: GOSH had amazing, bright eye palettes and their great matte velvet lipsticks which has eight fantastic new AW14 shades. The Giant Blush also caught my attention.
Studio has some great look boxes, perfect for Christmas, including Perfect Brows (£8), Lash & Line Collection (£8) and Day to Night Eyes. There are also mirrors (£4.50) and cosmetics bags (£15) with a lovely fashion illustration.
TOWIE’s Lauren Pope’s Hair Rehab has a synthetic line with buns, ponytails, plaits in 13 colours, including ombré, all available online, with 4 available in-store.
B. Makeup always leaves us hanging with fantastic launches to come. Last time, it was the Glycolic Peel, now launched. Now, we are waiting for their mature skin line, B. Nourished Advanced Active Regime, for women in their 50’s and beyond. Launching at the end of October 2014 and priced at an unbelievable £14.99 for the Day Cream, £15.99 for the Night Cream and £17.99 for the Serum, it is set to be a huge success.
They are also launching in November their B. Even foundation that include shades for darker skin and four limited edition palettes: two eye and two eye, lips and face ones. Very well packaged and great colours, coming out at the end of November. We can also see a new winter colour eye quad and lipstick, named Gothika and two primers – an illuminating face primer and an eye primer, launching at the end of October.
Makeup Revolution showed their cool I ❤ Makeup line, with dazzling packaging and super pretty colours, as well as their main line with some very exquisite lip colours (orange, yellow, blue, purple, pink, black, grey, at £1 each), eyes, lips and concealer palettes (£6 each), brow kit, metallic liners, fixing spray, highlighters (beautiful, btw). Their exclusive for Superdrug Christmas boxes are also amazing, and set to be best sellers.
Of course, Superdrug own brand products were also present, offering great quality for lower prices. Big shout out for their dry shampoos (£1.99), their spray hair chalk (£2.99) in three lovely colours, their Clearly Youthful range (from £5.99) which targets anti-ageing AND problem skin and counts with cleanser, scrub, moisturiser, serums, peel mask and treatment gel – quite an amazing range for an extraordinary price.
Ultra-brights, the Superdrug non-permanent hair colour, also popped out (literally, so bright and beautiful); Rebellious Red and Outrageous Orange are only £3.99. Oh, and let’s not forget the Vitamin E Dual Phase Cleansing Oil.
Superdrug also has a huge range of gifts for Christmas. They categorised it as gifts for fashionistas (Flutter makeup bags, Paul’s Boutique lashes and nails, Model’s Own nail polish sets, Studio and Makeup Revolution kits), for #selfiequeens (more Makeup Revolution, of course, Studio and Flutter) and many more. Their children’s options were quite cute and there are plenty of stocking fillers.
After all the Christmas excitement and eating, Superdrug is also at hand to help with our resolutions: from supplements to diet aids, it’s all there. I was very impressed by the Leader Natural Foods Smoothies Powder Mix (Detox, Energy and Balance), a super easy to make and so tasty, especially if you add some extra ingredients! Yum! Love the green detox one!
I also enjoyed some bars from The Primal Kitchen and also BareBar (from Leader natural Foods, same people as the smoothies)
So, lots for everyone in Superdrug, just check their website – and I haven’t even mentioned fragrance on this post; maybe a one-stop Christmas shop this year?
Their new range looks incredible! I’m so excited!
