S5 is a brand that has won my heart over the past year. Not only their products are fab, but their founder is a lovely lady deserving of all the success she has coming her way.
Of course, I was ecstatic to try another S5 product. This time, a current obsession of mine: eye creams. Enter the S5 Renew Eye Cream.
Eye cream are a must in my skincare routine. I wear them night and morning as my round the eye area is quite dry – and that’s the last thing we want, as wrinkles feast on dryness. Eeeek.
On the other, hand I have very sensitive eyes, so it is important I find a product that does not aggravate that.
S5 is perfect for that as is so full of goodness. This eye cream has Antarctic glycoproteins. A microorganism that has to protect itself from the extreme cold produces protein to strengthen its cellular walls. Basically, it does the same for our cells in the area.
The texture on this greige cream is very fluid. it feels light and applies well around the eyes. I pat it in gently with my ring finger and it absorbs super quickly. After using it for a while, skin in the area looks healthy and nourished. Most importantly, it does not irritate my eyes.
It also has concentrated extract of pffafia, marapuma and white lily, all from the rainforest, to reduce inflammation and swelling. They help with wrinkles and texture (collagen stimulating), as well as skin tone – the dread dark-circles. This product is 99.9% natural.
Packaging is simple, compact with an efficient pump. If anything, I would like to pump to dispense a little bit less at a time, but that is easily fixed with “half-pumping”.
Needless to add, I highly recommend this eye cream. A little bit goes a long way.
I also highly recommend their other products too, which have become an integral part of my routine. I reviewed their Purity Serum and Balance Fluid a while ago and am still using both.
The S5 Renew Eye Cream costs £36 for 15ml and can be bought from the S5 website and retailers like Selfridges, as well as a variety of online retailers (check the list).
I am happy to see they are available in various European countries as well as USA, Hong Kong and Singapore. They also ship worldwide.
