Bold blue: look 3 for Westfield #BareFacedOrBold Makeup Challenge

I am now halfway the Westfield #BareFacedOrBold Challenge and this is my second bold look – a blue bolt eyed ice maiden type of character… if that makes any sense.

I used the vibrant blue Electric Eel from the MAC palette as a block across the whole lid and blended a bit of Beautiful Iris lavender taking it all the way from the crease towards the brow bone, where I added one of my favourites MAC shadows, Vex.

Electric Eel also became a liner on the lower lash and water line, together with MAC pigment Silver Fog to the inner corner of the eye, then finished off with Ardell lashes.

For the lips, I put on some Nivea lip butter and dabbed a bit of the Silver Fog pigment all over, giving it a slightly frosted look, not too scarily silver.

To make this a more wearable look, I’d cover the lid with lavender and blend a bit of blue from the outer corner. or just use the blue as eyeliner, creating a chunky line with a huge flick – so many options to use this gorgeous colour!

On my face I have MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation, powder and Mineralize Skin Finish used as bronzer and Sheer Tone blush in Peaches, Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Peach Lights and my eyes were primed using Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion. I also used MAC Extended Play mascara on my own lashes.

All the products mentioned above  can be found at Westfield – handy!

What do you think? If this one is not for you, I still have three looks coming – including two bare faced ones! I have already published a green bare faced look and a super bold orange – check it out!

Second bare look coming tomorrow – keep your eyes peeled!

To know more about the challenge, check out this post.

Also, you can check the Westfield London website for all info about them, the shops and how wonderful your shopping trip can be over there.

Apologies for the “falling” lash – I was definitely NOT having a lash day. Argh! If I was actually going out wearing it, I wouldn’t be like that, hehe 😀

    • Thank you! I feel blue eye shadow is a bit misunderstood after all the 80’s makeup wrongdoings hahahahahaha, but is a beautiful colour on eyes and can look alright! Another trendy option using bright blue is as a liner – love that look too! 😀
