But Dani, you don’t really wear any Shu Uemura… Well, no. Not sure why, but there wasn’t anything to appeal to me… until now…. Enter Yazbukey for Shu Uemura.
Yaz Bukey is a fab jewellery designer who uses pop art references to create her pieces. Pop art. Sold.
Not that I need any more incentives, but the lady says that she “can always find a red lipstick in her bag”. Honestly.
Without further ado, the line: it comes into the shops in May and it is said to have 34 limited edition (of course!) items. Amongst them, eyes, nails and lip colours (RED!!!) and Shu Uemura’s best-selling facial cleansing oil.
I am all Sexy Yaz!
Yes, I am a sucker for packaging, who cares? As long as the packaging carries a product that I like, I’m in! It seems that the designs on the packaging are inspired by her SS15 collection, “My heart belongs to Paris”, although the lips are her signature design, appearing across many collections.
Yaz adds, about the collaboration, that “makeup works in the same way as accessories, allowing us to change our personalities and show different sides of ourselves”.
Well, I am waiting! In the meantime, someone get me that lipstick necklace, please?! Thanks.
