Review: Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating skin toner

A toner is a must in my skin routine, twice a day – and in the past weeks, I’ve been giving the Pixi Glow Tonic a go.

The tonic function is to give the skin an extra cleanse and tighten up the pores.

On top of that, this product also has exfoliating properties, thanks to glycolic acid on its formula.

This translucent orange tonic smells very fresh. It does feel lovely on the skin; it is gentle, so after application skin feels refreshed and extremely comfortable, there is no tightness or dryness – in fact, it is the opposite.

This toner dries very quickly and in seconds it is like nothing was applied, skin is soft and the product behaves very well under makeup.

The packaging is simple, sturdy and functional, the little whole at the top lets a decent amount out; I usually turn the bottle once and move sideways in the cotton wo0l for the whole face and neck – a small amount goes a long way.

My skin is very difficult – sensitive, acne, dry patches… so I am always a bit nervous in trying continuos skincare products, after all, it doesn’t take much to start a breakout fest.

A couple weeks after I started using, I could really see the difference; my skin is clearer, brighter and less dull. I could at points feel slight exfoliation and dry skin shedding (although I use acne medication which promotes that too), but nothing drastic.

It also contains ginseng, fructose, aloe vera and it is alcohol free, so absolutely no stinging. Together with the glycolic acid, it is oxygenating, promotes skin renewal and that all coveted glow.

Overall, a fabulous product, highly recommended. I will not be stopping using it and will sure repurchase (in many months, it really lasts!!!).

After being Pixi blind for a long time, it looks like I’ve become a great fan of the brand. I’ve been enjoying my Pixi Glow face mist an awful lot too!

The Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating skin toner costs £18 for a huge 250ml bottle and can be purchased at the Pixi Beauty website (free shipping for orders over £35) and retailers in the UK and US.
