Celebrating timeless fashion with Nivea deodorant

How can your deodorant affect your style? Well, nothing worse than white marks in your favourite black dress to make you wish the earth would swallow you!

The Nivea Invisible for Black & White deodorant, on top of having white mark protection for black clothes, also helps prevent those horrible yellow stains on white garments.

Of course it also counts with the 48 hour anti-perspirant protection, cares for the skin and is also gentle, as it is dermatologically tested and alcohol-free. I also like the bottle has an “open-close” twist top and the classic Nivea smell is present in a softer version.

And the classic bottle now has had a stylish makeover by Matthew Williamson and enchanting design is full of gorgeous patterns, including pretty butterflies, complimenting the brand colours.

Matthew Williamson, who is passionate about designing timeless pieces, says it is important that clothes make women feel better about themselves and that he’s teamed up with Nivea “to celebrate these timeless fashion favourites that make women feel great while offering them a product that will help look after those clothes they love for the long haul.”

This Limited Edition Nivea Invisible Black & White by Matthew Williamson fashion bottle hits the shelves on the 28 August.

The loved and trusted Nivea Black & White formula, all dressed up, costs £3.29 (RRP for 250ml) and you can get it from major retailers like Boots and Superdrug.

You know the drill, but I’ll say anyway: this post contains PR samples. This review, however, is based on my experience with the product and reflects my honest opinion on them.

Pear-fect care and protection

When you are 100% sure you found your hands down favourite Dove deodorant scent, they bring out something completely different to confuse you. Meet the Dove GoFresh Pear and Aloe Vera antiperspirant deodorant.

I’m not usually one for fresh scents but this one hooked me in, so once again, the collaboration with Givaudan pays off for Dove.

The pear and aloe vera fragrance is fresh, but very feminine. The sweetness of the pear totally does it for me, if I am honest.

On top of that, Dove is always improving the formula on their products and of course you can count on the 1/4 moisturising cream, which is now, in fact, is using the same ingredients as luxury face creams, to care for your underarms’ skin, keeping it soft, as well as protect against sweat for 48 hours.

Worth remembering that when we shave our underarms, 36% is actually skin! No wonder that often neglected part of the body can feel dry and irritated.

The range contains the fabulous anti-perspirant in spray, roll-on and stick, body wash and the brand new shower foam, which I will have to talk about in a separate post as it is divine!

You can get the fabulous Dove GoFresh Pear and Aloe Vera range from retailers nationwide and products are priced from £2.65.

P.S.: Sorry about the cheesy headline. Obviously I could not resist!

A little deodorant that packs a punch: Sure Compressed

sure_compressed_motionsense - 1Deodorant is something we use everyday, sometime, more than once a day so I for me, the choice is well thought of.

Sure is a brand I’ve been familiar for a while, but had never tried. The launch of their compressed range got me trying. And I liked what I saw.

I tried fragrances Cotton Dry and Shower Fresh and found them very pleasant, not overpowering or intrusive and super fresh.

The deodorant feels gentle on the skin, it is quite dry on application and doesn’t stain dark clothes too much – but you still need to be careful, there is some transfer.

sure_compressed_motionsense - 3It does “cloud” the room quite a lot, but about the same as most deodorants.

The exclusive MotionSense technology means this deodorant works harder when you are – exercising, rushing or hit and sweating more. perfect for sporty types or just busy bees.

The more you move, the more it protects because it contain microcapsules that sit on the surface of the skin. As we move, the friction in our underarms burst these capsules, releasing protection and fragrance throughout the day.

sure_compressed_motionsense - 2The compressed format means you get the same amount in a more compact bottle that you did in the bigger one, they just use less gas.

Might not seem much, but it saves on material when manufacturing the packaging and also means there is less of it to dispose of. Neat!

I went to their fun launch with the lovely Kimberly Wyatt – always so adorable and got to know a lot about the product, technology and the brand, so was very happy to try it.

Sure Compressed with MotionSense can be purchased in retailers nationwide for £2 RRP for 75ml.
