Nails of the week: teal and glitter

teal with holographic silver glitter nails - somanylovelythingsOne thing I cannot say not to: glitter. Although it is a pain to remove, every now and then I have to sparkle my nails – and these little Nailene Glitter FX puffers are just perfect for that.

I used a pretty teal from Essie, Naughty Nautical as a base. This colour has a slight silver frosted effect so I thought it would be perfect to add the holographic Nailene glitter.

The glitter is fine and comes in a plastic tube with a thin hole. The tube itself is very soft, making the puffing of the glitter very easy, facilitating application.

On the second coat of nail polish, while it was still wet, I squeezed a little bit of glitter to the tip and tilted, gently tapping the edge, so it would drag a bit. I love this effect!

It sparkles a lot and I love it. You can also mix the glitter with any nail polish to create a new shade, or even with a clear topcoat to make it sparkly!

The Nailene Glitter FX is available from Sensationail for an extremely affordable £2.50, or an even more affordable £4 for both silver and gold.

This post contains PR samples. This review, however, is based on my own true experience with the products and reflects my honest opinion on them.
