My third and last bold look for the Westfield #BareFacedOrBold Makeup Challenge is my favourite of them all: a warm brown smokey eye with popping red lips.
I wear this look quite a lot to be honest, and I think it complements my complexion very well. The browns and golds are perfect for my eye colour and I just love this classic look.
In fact, gold and browns are a safe bet for eye makeup for pretty much any complexion, so if in doubt, pull the golds and browns out of the drawer and strut confidently.
For the eyes, I used MAC Nylon (one of my favourites highliting eyeshadows) on the brow bone and inner corners of the eyes, then added the gold Urban Decay’s Half Baked on the lid and went very heavy on the reddish brown Embark, smoking the outer corner inwards, marking the crease quite well.
I then lined using L’Oréal Superliner Perfect Slim, adding a mighty flick and a pair of Ardell Lashes. I also used Embark to line the lower lash and water line, as well as a bit of MAC pigment in Vanilla (another favourite to add a splash of light) for the inner corner and a tiny bit on the brow bone too.
I lined my lips with GOSH’s liner in Simply Red and filled with the red Divine lipstick.
On my face I have MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation, powder and Mineralize Skin Finish used as bronzer, Sheer Tone blush in Peaches, Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Peach Lights and my eyes were primed using Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion. I also used MAC Extended Play mascara on my own lashes.
Honestly, I love this look. Wearable, classic, achievable and suitable for most complexions!
I now just have one more to go – it went soooo quick! Tomorrow, the last bare face look will be waiting for you!
