A gentle face wash: the S5 Clarity Cleanser

s5_clarity_cleanser_review - 2Many a times I mentioned how much I love S5 Skincare. Apart from having fabulous, natural products, the founder is a darling and genuinely caring about skin issues.

To join my beloved Balance Fluid moisturiser and Purity Serum, I got the great – and new –  S5 Clarity Cleanser, which cleans and detoxifies skin.

It is so mild on the skin that it’s not even funny. It’s scent is very subtle and it foams quite well.

s5_clarity_cleanser_review - 1Skin feels soft and extremely comfortable, not the faintest sign of drying. A real joy to use. It also does a very decent job of removing light makeup – even eye makeup!

On its formula, exfoliating papaya enzymes gently help get rid of old cells – leave it for a couple of minutes after applying to best results – and alpine epilobium fleishieri, which has sebum regulating properties.

The organic S5 Clarity Cleanser cost £28 for 200ml is available to buy now from the S5 Skincare website and selected retailers.

Product review: Balance Me Natural Protection Moisturiser SPF 25

natural protection moisturiser spf 25

I was familiar with Balance Me, but I will admit I didn’t really know the extent of their range or the natural goodness of their products. Good thing they had a lovely skin analysis event at their concession at Debenhams Oxford Street and I got to not only have my skin analysed but also find out about their products and try a few!

Balance Me has recently launched their Natural Protection Moisturiser, which has SPF25, just in time for the warmer (we hope) season.

Product review: balance Me skin bright hydrating face mist

balance me hydrating face mist - somanylovelythingsWhen the balance Me skin bright hydrating face mist came my way after the Vevie pop-up shop event, I actually had been thinking about getting a facial mist for a while.

My skin gets quite dry in the office and I usually go to the gym in my lunch break, so a mist seemed the perfect way to keep my face fresh all day, without having to spend too much time washing and moisturising.

The balance Me mist is nicely packaged in a glass bottle which has a great atomiser delivering a very light mist, which is quickly absorbed by the skin. The smell is very delicate, kinda sweet but herb-y and doesn’t stick around. It does not interfere with the make up, freshening the skin up and taking the dry edge away instantly.

I also found it very useful at the beach – I was carrying it in my beach bag every day and spraying in between sunscreen applications, to keep myself fresh and hydrated.

It contains “hyaluronic acid which holds more than 100 times its weight in water; replenishing and balancing pineapple and rose floral water and revitalising neroli and spikenard essential oils.”

The skin bright hydrating face mist retails for £20 (60ml which go a long way!) and you can buy this and other natural, high-performance, paraben and sulphate free, aromatherapy skincare and made in the UK (phew!) on the balance Me website.
