What I’ve been wearing – 27/02/14

This post seems to be mostly about going out – there is just one work outfit included! I love dressing up, and always make an effort when going out!

Been feeling a bit blue lately, so that might explain the huge gap between outfit posts. Spring will certainly bring a hug wardrobe excitement and no doubt I will be photographing and posting more outfits! Cannot wait!

Outfit #1

Dani and Viviela London <3

viviela_shoes700

So today I started my official “partnership” with super cool shoe brand Viviela London, which just launched in Brazil – their shoes are full of personality – they are daring, sensuous and have a hint of fetish – no wonder I am a fan!

I am thrilled to be part of it, and would like to congratulate the very talented designer, Viviane Melo, on the new collection!

I write in English and Portuguese on their blog – as I will be talking about fashion, culture and style (and obviously, shoes), I will link to it from my blog to there from time to time, when I feel it is relevant!

Here is the first post, “What makes a Viviela London pair of shoes“, which talks about inspiration, the creative process and the lifeblood of the brand.

Hope you enjoy! 🙂

Lola make up by Perse is launching the Spirited Away collection with some amazing colours to bring your make up to spring/summer 2014. The eyeshadows and nails polishes are a mix of earthy neutrals and brights – a very “natural” tones palette, inspired on the nomadic desert people and landscapes.

Product Review: Original Mineral Frizzy Logic Shine Serum

Original Mineral Frizzy Logic shine serum

Original Mineral, a multi-award winning Aussie haircare brand, is now being stock by Selfridges, and they threw a little hair-styling party to celebrate.

Apart from my lovely waves, I left the event with a bottle of their Frizzy Logic Shine Serum, which my hair is very grateful for, especially at this time of the year.

Product review: Pure Gold Collagen shots

Pure Gold Collagen

I was quite curious to try collagen shots for quite sometime, I have to admit. it seemed like an easy way to deliver skincare – by drinking a 50ml shot a day – and was very happy to try Pure Gold Collagen.

During 13 days, I took a daily collagen shot (maybe a missed one or two!) and I could notice a slight improvement on my skin condition to look and touch, mainly in texture – it felt plumpier – and also brighter.

Nails of the week: gun metal with black dot

dielle metallic dignity nail polish - somanylovelythings

Knowing I had a nail event coming up and I was bound to get a fresh manicure, I decided to go for something unusually minimalist.

This week I picked this pretty metallic golden truffle from Dielle called Metallic Dignity, which can look quite gun metal with a golden sheen, as well as some sparkly green and red particles!

NEW: L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Les Blancs nail polishes and topcoats

Peach Neglige, Lemon Meringue, Nouvelle Vague, Pistachio Drage (L-R)

Peach Neglige, Lemon Meringue, Nouvelle Vague, Pistachio Drage (L-R)

L’Oréal has been at it again and is bringing very exciting Color Riche nail polishes to grace our talons for Spring/Summer 2014: Les Blancs and Topcoats. Now, that is something to really look forward to.

The Les Blancs collection is a very  pretty line of four pastel shades: the deliciously green Pistachio Drage, girly peachy-pink Peach Neglige, powdery lilac Nouvelle Vague and citrussy yellow Lemon Meringue. They are very delicate and almost white – with just a drop of colour; in fact similar base colours from last year’s SS collection, Neon Pop, but diluted to almost white (or, the other way round, dropped into white!)

Product review: Magnitone Pulsar skin cleansing brush

magnitone pulsar

If there ever was a right time, that is when the Magnitone Pulsar skin cleansing brush came along. Days before I was approached by them, I was actually thinking about getting a cleansing brush to add to my skin routine.

You are probably no stranger to my skin problems – acne (still active! Argh!) and a few scars so I thought it was time to give a brush a go to see how they could help me.

Magnitone is a face a body brush with four speed settings: sensitive, deep clean, massage and exfoliate.

I made this Instagram video showing the four different modes!

Pure London show: what I liked

pure london 2014

I am not quite sure how I feel about getting excited about Autumn/Winter 14, when 13 is not even over and I am so looking forward to Summer – in my head, I just have all shades of pink, canary yellow and chartreuse and longing for extended daylight.

However, I just loved the chance to be surrounded by trends and so many exciting clothes, footwear and accessories at Pure London Fashion trade show. And now I feel mentally prepared (and with a list to what look out for!) for at least 2 seasons!

Product review: Proactiv oil-free moisturiser

Proactive oil-free moisturiser

Proactiv is a name most people will be familiar about when it comes to acneic skin care.

I am trying the Proactiv Oil-Free moisturiser, which is very welcome on my breakout prone skin.

Many a time I talked about my acne and scars, how difficult my skin is and how some products just don’t agree with it. I am happy to say this moisturiser is very light – you don’t really notice it’s been applied as it is quickly absorbed, delivering a good amount of moisturisation.
