SJP new shoe line – yay or nay?

sjp shoes

Oh, the furore this shoe launch has caused. I thought I’d stay quiet and let it go, but it keeps coming back… We all know I love shoes so I have to say something about this. So here we go.

Sarah Jessica Parker, our beloved and forever Carrie (although I am more a Samantha myself) from  Sex and the City has launched a shoe line in partnership with Nordstrom. I was expecting this and my only surprise is that it didn’t happen earlier, given the tight bond between the character and footwear. So far, so good.

What I’ve been wearing – 27/02/14

This post seems to be mostly about going out – there is just one work outfit included! I love dressing up, and always make an effort when going out!

Been feeling a bit blue lately, so that might explain the huge gap between outfit posts. Spring will certainly bring a hug wardrobe excitement and no doubt I will be photographing and posting more outfits! Cannot wait!

Dani and Viviela London <3

viviela_shoes700

So today I started my official “partnership” with super cool shoe brand Viviela London, which just launched in Brazil – their shoes are full of personality – they are daring, sensuous and have a hint of fetish – no wonder I am a fan!

I am thrilled to be part of it, and would like to congratulate the very talented designer, Viviane Melo, on the new collection!

I write in English and Portuguese on their blog – as I will be talking about fashion, culture and style (and obviously, shoes), I will link to it from my blog to there from time to time, when I feel it is relevant!

Here is the first post, “What makes a Viviela London pair of shoes“, which talks about inspiration, the creative process and the lifeblood of the brand.

Hope you enjoy! 🙂

Pure London show: what I liked

pure london 2014

I am not quite sure how I feel about getting excited about Autumn/Winter 14, when 13 is not even over and I am so looking forward to Summer – in my head, I just have all shades of pink, canary yellow and chartreuse and longing for extended daylight.

However, I just loved the chance to be surrounded by trends and so many exciting clothes, footwear and accessories at Pure London Fashion trade show. And now I feel mentally prepared (and with a list to what look out for!) for at least 2 seasons!

Shoe review: Julian Hakes Mojito

Julian Hakes Mojito shoes

One day, his architect mind wondered off to question why high heels needed a foot plate – and this was the beginning to the conception of the award-winning Mojito shoes by Julian Hakes.

I am a huge fan of shoes (I am sure you hadn’t noticed before!) and I really love the different – a twisted heel, an innovative design, and unusual feature, so there is no surprise I am a fan of the Mojito (especially when it takes it’s name from a fresh concoction of rum, lime and mint!).

What I’ve been wearing – 22/01/14

My first outfit post of 2014! Whoooa!

Of course, there are some that were actually worn in 2013 (don’t tell anyone!). It is that time of the year where I start to lean towards colour. I know we are not even halfway through winter and this year has been quite mild. But it id depressing nevertheless and I am spending my days dreaming of bright yellows and a plethora of shades of pink… Come on spring, hurry up!

Shoe obsession – Sergio Rossi’s Papillons sandals

sergio rossi papillons sandals

From time to time I fall in love with some unobtainable pair of shoes. This is quite a common occurrence – in fact, it happens more often that not.

The current “victim” of my infatuation this time comes from Sergio Rossi – it is the Papillons sandals, in gold and black leather and metal. Oh, Sergio, why do you do this to me???

Not many of you know, but a have a thing for butterflies. I have two tattooed on my shoulder. I just love them – less to do with their beauty,  more with their transformation, their new found self and freedom plus the fact they live, on average, a month – this is, for me, a reminder that you should make the best of every minute.

Anyway… Mr Rossi (actually, Angelo Ruggeri, Sergio Rossi’s creative director) then comes up with this. Butterflies that could be hugging my ankles right now. And they are gold. And art-inspired. Plus they are just beautiful. Look at those melting metal heels!!!! Oh, God, do I LOVE a metal heel or not?!

Ruggeri took inspiration from some of artist Gabriella Crespi’s pieces from the Gocce Oro collection, including a pair of candelabra, created in the 70’s and the result is just stunning.

Well, WANT doesn’t even start to describe it. Anyone?! Please?

It is all about the jumpers… I went a bit crazy and bought loads to make sure I stay warm …. and they are so cosy!

Also featuring quite heavily are the H&M leather ankle boots – they are shiny, have a considerable heel thus making me feel a bit more dressed up and are comfortable enough to wear all day. And it was only £69.00!

And without further ado, here are my latest picks!
