I am a sucker for packaging. Now that is out of the way, let me tell you about the two items from the MAC Wash & Dry limited edition I bought.
Sucker no1 here succumbed to a lipstick and a highlight powder. It could’ve been worse.
Even though it is not a great thing, we are all rushing people. I, for once, always seem to be running that little bit late. Tools that helps us save a bit of time are always welcome, so I was glad to try the Schwarzkopf got2b Mind blowing range.
My plans to create a series of features on more fashionable looks started a long time ago. However, finally getting off the ground took some planning.
The aim of Dani’s Little Book of Fashion is to dissect looks into wearable chunks, that will work for the person carrying it, whatever their personal style.
Yes, you read it right. Nude. Nails are nude. Plain and simple nude.
Initial plan was to make the nude a base for some art then I was so taken aback by how pretty this polish is I can’t even remember what art I was going to do…
Nail brand Ciaté’s creative director for 2015 is Olivia Palermo. That means there are some new ail polish shades coming…
Starting with the packaging, it is still Ciaté’s curves rectangle, but it has a luxury feel – a touch of gold and some pretty box.
What a weird name, eh? But the colours are inspired on vintage laundromats, so it’s ok!
The MAC Wash & Dry collection, which is full of vibrant and fresh colours has already launched in the UK – the laundromat is indeed open for business!
More leopard on the blog! Yay! I never tire of that print, but it is nice to get some variation…. so we have lilac!
This mani was still from when I was in Brasil and it is another one from Rosângela, the “family” manicurist. As i emntioend before, she has a huge range of lovely nail art “stickers”; they are actually hand painted by another lady on base coat and plastic, and Rô buys them to apply on to clients’ nails.
The nail polish is a beautiful shade of lilac called Lavanda from Ana Hickmann; it is creamy with some light silvery sheen to it.
Although it is leopard print, I found this quite delicate and discreet, as animal print go. I think applying the design over colour made it stand out less. Love it!
When I go to Brasil, I hang up my nail-doing shoes and leave my talons on the expert hands of Rosângela, a lovely lady who goes to my family home to sort out mum’s nails – she also does gran’s, two aunties’ and a cousins’ nails every week.
