I will admit – I wasn’t very familiar with B. Makeup before the lovely breakfast they offered to bloggers – and I was glad I found out; I am pleasantly surprised with their extensive range of makeup and skincare products.
And for the new season, they were launching quite a few crackers, some available now and later this year.
Being a lipstick lover, I didn’t really think I’d give a lipgloss a lot of time. Oh, I had no idea how wrong I could be before I found the new GOSH Lip Lacquer.
They come in 8 lovely shades, from sheer to great coverage colour, from nudes and corals to pinks and reds – a colour for every pucker out there. And when they say colour like a lipstick, shine like a gloss, they weren’t lying!
I hadn’t worked on an eye makeup for a very long time, so the arrival of the beautiful new eye colours from the Lola Makeup Spirited Away collection was the right excuse to get me going!
For this look, which was inspired in one created to promote the collection, I used the Lola satin eyeshadows 034 – a shimmery gold – 035 – a shimmery baby blue and 045 – a shimmery terracota.
Uh, lashes. Since I discovered false eye lashes, I always think here is something missing from my eyes! Good thing The Vintage Cosmetic Company has sent Gracie, a new addition to their lashes line, my way to help me flutter mine.
GOSH Cosmetics always has some eye popping items gracing the aisles of Superdrug – especially for nails and eyes – so I was very excited to find out about their launches for Spring/Summer 2014.
GOSH is bringing a variety of shades to exiting lines and also some brand new products.
Lola make up by Perse is launching the Spirited Away collection with some amazing colours to bring your make up to spring/summer 2014. The eyeshadows and nails polishes are a mix of earthy neutrals and brights – a very “natural” tones palette, inspired on the nomadic desert people and landscapes.
The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egypt symbol of protection, health and power. Here, the Eye of Horus is a cosmetic brand that delivers lovely products to make our peepers powerfully beautiful!
The Goddess pencil in Charcoal Obsidian is a charcoal colour with some subtle shimmer. It has a smudging tip on one end, to help create a smokey effect. Their formula is waterproof, smudge proof and long-lasting.
So, a little helping hand for tired, dull skin, that works throughout the day and is also anti-ageing? Is that right? Garnier is promising us just that, in the shape of the Miracle Skin Cream.
This new product, launching in February 2014, claims to deliver instant transformation to the skin. It actually acts like a tinted moisturiser, but the magic is that it is white, with microcapsules that burst in contact with the skin, delivering not only colour, but one that adjusts to the skin tone, smoothing and illuminating the skin.
Green eyed lady – this JN Beauty palette is aptly called as these shades certain to cause some (good) envy when you wear it!

Don’t you just love beauty launches – the idea of a brand new product you never tried before is sooooo exciting!
Garnier has loads of news on that front and we were invited into their British garden – inclusive of wind, thunder and all – to get a sneaky peek at their new products hitting the shelves in the next couple of months.
