World Cup nails – that is what I’ve been calling them! They are however, a bit more than that: they are showing support to my team – Brasil!
I decided to put into practice the invaluable advice from Michelle Humphrey, the Maybelline nail extraordinaire, and try a “tie-dye” type of nails.

After so much anticipation, the Maleficent by MAC launched in the UK on the 15 May. I had already set my little wish list and was determined to get my claws on a few items.
As soon as I received their email saying the collection was available, I went online and placed an order for the lipstick – which was the item I really wanted), the lip liner and some lashes.
A good base is the key to good makeup, so I am quite fussy when it comes to foundation. Recently, as part of their SuperStay range, Maybelline New York has launched Better Skin, a foundations claiming to improve the appearance of dull, blotchy and uneven skin.
So, I put it to the test. Better Skin contains Actyl C, zinc, provitamin B5, magnesium, copper, flex technology (which adapts to skin movement, being tightness-preventing), glycerine (attracts moisture and makes skin look hydrated and radiant) and SPF 20, which is great to see in makeup.
This post is a bit different. I usually do a new manicure every week, and well, post it – hence the “nails of the week” series name.
Long-lasting makeup? Yes please! That is what Maybelline is promising us with the new products on their SuperStay range.
Most of us know the 24 Lip Color and Maybelline is expanding the family, with foundation, powders, concealer, nail and lip colours, and I found out about it at an event in central London last week.
So I read a few articles in the past weeks – from business to fashion magazines – about Mink, a 3D printer that creates makeup. Yeah, you heard it makeup – lipsticks, eyeshadows, blushers – cream or powder. You name it, any colour. Yep.
No secret that Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is my favourite cleanser – since I discovered it, I haven’t looked back. Don’t just take my word for it – recently, this cleanser celebrated more than 100 beauty awards!!!
